What is tolerance?

“Tolerance of intolerance is cowardice.”
~ Ayaan Hirsi Ali
I don’t care if your gay, muslim, or black. Nor do I care if your white, christen or straight. I do not see you identified as a label.
Why should a label define a person?
Life should be more about classifying people on terms of ethnicity and race, but rather gathering as a unit on the most important value of all. Respect.
In order for us to survive the future we must know what opposition stands in the way towards peace. We must disregard the opposing indifference we face and learn to bring strength and will to the human race.
Humans are divided into religion wars. We get paranoid and fear what we don’t know.
We must fear the opposition, the people who stand to oppose our own ways.
Intolerance is the past not the future. We need to see two steps ahead of us to realize that we do not live in a land divided into sections.
We are who we are. We can’t change for what others perceive we should be. We believe what we believe. Heroes are the people who stick true to their values.
Homophobia, Necrophobia, Islamaphobia, Judeophobia is not a phobia. Its paranoia for what is different.
No human is inferior to another human. We are not free from the in suffering people face for their color of the skin, religion, or sexuality.
Gays should be allowed to marry who they choose, for marriage is love for another person. There should be no doctrine saying otherwise. A man loving a women is the same as a women with a women. Its the bond that holds two people together.
A transgender should be allowed to be who they are. Not be imprisoned for what they can’t control.
Different religions should be allowed to be proud of who they are and their ideology. Without prejudice from others.
True freedom is the freedom to be who you are, not whats others see you as you should be.
As Marther Luther King Jr. said..

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

One day earth will be free for people to express who they are. To join together in celebration for the equality of all.

  1. Before I begin my comment, I wanted to apologize for being late with my comment. My Internet provider was bought out by another on April 1st, and since that time, we have been without the Internet. We just got it back on this morning. I apologize for my tardiness.

I honestly agree with you on this subject. We should be able to be who we are no matter where we are in life. Be it online or offline. Other people perceive us to be someone or something we are not, and we believe we are not. However, it takes a strong person to get to know another person – online or offline.

We should be able to be who we want to be.
I am glad you agree and thank you for sharing your view on the matter.

  2. I think tolerance itself isn’t bad but tolerance can be done away with and true acceptance can be done, but in no lifetime will this happen because of the free will and complexity of people, but I can dream. I have a few good friends that are transgender and they want nothing more than to be accepted for them. I don’t understand why the religious sect hates people not fitting in the gender binary. Gender is never so black or white. It’s shades of gray and rainbows at times. One day, perhaps. One day the world will have true peace in their hearts.

    • A beautiful written comment.
You are an amazing person for feeling that way.
